Systems thinking - Sustainable energy generation and fabrics

A key topic for systems thinking in chemistry education is energy generation. The following provides an example of how through systems thinking this topic can be linked to redox chemistry, the latest advances in battery technology, energy harvesting fabrics and wearable technologies.

The teaching resources were prepared by undergraduate students in the School of Life and Environmental Sciences, Deakin University. We’d like to thank Dhabitah Faizal, Rafal Kezraj, Jeremy Klauber and Sarah Massie for preparing this fantastic resource. We’d also like to thank Murtaza Panhwar (PhD student, Institute for Frontier Materials, Deakin University) for supporting the students to describe this exciting technology.
