Research

We are researching multiple dimensions of incorporating sustainability into chemistry teaching and learning. Overarching research topics include:

  • approaches to incorporating sustainability practices and awareness into primary, secondary and tertiary teaching,
  • impact of sustainability activities on students’ understanding, psychological perspectives and orientations to sustainability, and
  • capacity of teachers and researchers to implement systems thinking and topics amenable to systems thinking approaches.
