Secondary school teachers continue with their professional learning in the Deakin Chemistry Education Professional Learning (DeCEPL) project.
Despite the unprecedented remote learning situation school teachers find themselves in due to COVID-19, it has been quite encouraging to see our secondary school teachers continuing to explore their professional learning into chemistry education research.
The research team has continued to host meetings with each small group of teachers, albeit on zoom and not in their schools. We have organised to slightly delay the next stage of the project, so they can focus on their students as they manage remote learning, but it was great to see that despite this one group has started data collection. We hope to all come back together in July (social distancing of course!), and will continue with our literature reading until then.
