Elements of Sustainable Chemistry (ESC) today ran a workshop at the Science Teacher Association Victoria (STAV) VCE Chemistry teacher conference, held at La Trobe University, Victoria.
Seamus ran a workshop for secondary chemistry teachers, giving them an introduction to systems thinking in Chemistry education (STICE). In the context of facing the challenges of the climate crisis, we discussed how to incorporate sustainable chemistry and the UN’s sustainable development goals (SDGs) into the classroom, including as an example our activities of the Periodic Table of Sustainable Elements school outreach event.
