School visit - East Loddon P-12 College

The Periodic Table of Sustainable Elements chemistry outreach program travelled today to East Loddon P-12 College.

80+ students from years 5-8, led by a group of fantastic year 9 and 10 student leaders, undertook the chemistry activities, and from all accounts had an excellent experience. It was extra special to see the student leaders fully embrace the opportunity to lead and support their younger colleagues. The day culminated in a fiery conclusion (in more than one way :) ).

A special thank you to the amazing Rebecca Johns, who made the experience possible on behalf of her school. We will keep doing this outreach program for as long as we can find amazing schools like East Loddon P-12 College!

Once again, a big thank you to our Deakin Uni student volunteers who embraced the very, very early morning for our journey north.

A few have asked why we are not putting more photos from each school visit on the website. This is out of respect for the schools we visit. You will find a few more online in twitter (@chemnet_au, @delaneysw, @elleymental), but again with no identifying features of students or the school. Thank you for respecting the privacy policies of these schools.
