The Elements of Sustainable Chemistry are proud to announce that Expressions of Interest are now being sought for the upcoming Chemistry Education Research Professional Learning Communities.
Beginning in 2020, with financial support from the Chemistry Education Association (CEA), we will be implementing an innovative chemistry education focused professional development opportunity, that is free for chemistry teachers.
Current secondary chemistry teachers will be supported to co-design a classroom activity with peers and the project team, incorporating the latest chemistry education research (CER) evidence of how best to enhance critical thinking on important socio-scientific issues in Chemistry.
Over the course of a school year, four days of professional development will take place, with a cohort of 10-15 Chemistry teachers per year. The program focusses on three sequential areas of professional learning (2 days + 1 day + 1 day).
